Although the country is rich in natural resources , agriculture assets and resources ,and being a good tourist destination the economic condition is not at all good .After 15 long years of civil war Zimbabwe got its independence in 1980.High inflation and expensive goods make the country difficult for common citizens .A large number of people live below poverty line .Political unrest and high caution of civil war are warned to tourists . Due to hyperinflation Zimbabwe Dollar is abandoned and US dollar is the major currency of transactions , and yes , food and accomodation are normally expensive by then.

What to See in Zimbabwe as a Tourist ?
Zimbabwe is such a beautiful tourist destination that you will be having some of the rarest experiences and encounters in your life. As I mentioned earlier it has many natural parks and wonders , amazing Victoria falls , and amazing food and very warm welcoming people.But what make you feel unique is the wildlife encounters ! , it is the few places in the world you get so close to the big wild animals , like what ? Like Lion , Elephant ,Cheetah etc ! You can touch them , walk with them and you can talk to them as if you know them.
The helicopter ride over the Victoria falls is a mind blowing experience , and the rides through Zambezi river , through forests and beautiful view of nature make you wonder .
Zimbabwe has lot to see as a tourist , maybe one month is not enough to visit to all major destinations.But let me cover the important ones first .Will start with the National Parks
1.National Parks of Zimbabwe
Zimbabwe has 11 National parks, which all are worth visiting and wildly contrasting by nature.Although Hwaange and Kafue are seen as the most important ones ,you cannot avoid the rest by its unique habitat.
1.1 Hwange National Park (2.best thing to do in Zimbabwe )
Hwange National Park is the biggest National Park in Zimbabwe and it is formed in 1929. Its around 14600 sq km in area.Its a two hour drive from Victoria falls.
The park is rich in wildlife throughout its vast area of land .A large number of mammals especially Elephants can be seen a lot in Hwange .Birds also form in wide varieties , a good sight to watch .Other wild species like giraffe,hyena ,lion, buffallo and wild beast also common in this area. July to September is the best time to visit the park ,that is summer .

1.2 South Gonarezhou National Park
South Gonarezhou National Park is located at the south of Zimbabwe with an area of 5053 sq km , which is the second largest National park after Hwange.This parks location is very remote , thus tourists and human presence are very less, give the wildest experience. The name Gonarezhou itself means the land of elephants.Because of its vast size and remote location, the animals have plenty of space to roam freely and adventerous to visit.
The park’s best feature is the Chilojo Cliffs, 180-meter-high sandstone cliffs that run for about 20 kilometers along the Runde River’s south bank. Tembwahata and Machanu, two large natural pans formed at the junction of the Save and Runde rivers, are also important features in the Park’s northern region.(w)

1.3 Matobo National Park, Matubo Hills ((world heritage site unesco )
This an area of granite kopjes and wooded valleys situated at the South of Zimbabwe.The hills were supposedly formed 2 billion years ago.Thehills are covering an area of 3100 km sq and the park is around 424 sq km , farming is doing in a part of the park and white Rhinocerous can be seen here

1.4 Mana Pools National Park Mana Pools (world heritage site unesco )
Mana Pools is a 543,000-acre wildlife national park situated in Northern Zimbabwe .Its a region of lower zambezi river , and during the dry season where animals gathered in search of water , where Africa’s one of the best game viewing region.Its one of the preserved ecological area , renowned for beauty and wilderness , and one the Wordl Heritage site of UNESCO.

1.5 Matusadona National Park
Formed in 1975 as a National Park with 1400 sq km land area in the Northerm Zimbabwe ,the park wasBefore the making of Kariba Dam and karibo lake the park was really wild and natural, which causes certain ecological imbalance or changes.Elephants and Black Rhinos can be seen widely throughout.The park has three important regions , which are the regions of lake Karibo and its shore grasslands , second is the area of Zambezi valley , and third is the area of Julbernardia and Brachystegia woodlands
Many camping areas are available in the surrounding areas.Due to the high porching and access to destruction, the park was taken over by African Parks in 2019 in collaboration with the Zimbabwe government.

1.6 Parque nacional de las Cataratas Victoria
Victoria falls National parks situated near the Victoria falls covering 24 sq km protects the southern and eastern areas of Zambezi river. It covers 6km above the falls and 12 km below the falls .It became UNESCO world heritage site in the year 1989.Elephants ,White Rhino , Moose ,Cape buffallo , Hippos and various antelopes can be seen here.

1.7 Parque nacional de Chizarira
Located in Northern Zimbabwe with an area of 2000 km sq is one of the largest national parks in Zimbabwe known for its isolated location ,diverse population of fauna and steep slope of 600 metres above the Zambezi river valley and wide view over the Karibo river .
1.8 Nyanga National Park
Nyanga Park is located in the eastern highlands of northern Zimbabwe and is one of Zimbabwe’s first national parks. It is also the country’s highest point above 2500 metres sea level with Mt Nyangini at its centre.Mutarazi Falls, the highest waterfall in Zimbabwe is situated in the south of the park .The park has varying stream of land , waterfalls , river ,mountains , dams,waterfall and cultural , historical sites , agricultural land,two archeological sites in Mount Nyangini ,Forts (gives spectacular views) .Thers’s densely wooded area , thick forest and rocky area .

1.9 Kazuma Pan National Park
Situated in the North Western corner of Zimbabwe , and one of the best scenic area of nature , it covers an area of 313 km sq. Lion , Elephants , Cheetah and other mammals are found here.Campings are available here .

1.10 Chimanimani National Park
Best mountanious area and scenic natural wilderness is the speciality of Chimanimani National Park.Its a popular hiking destination.Lot of water falls and bird species are found here .It covers an area of 171 km sq .

1.11 Zambezi National Park
Zambezi National park is a beautiful park at the entrance of victoria falls covering an area along 50km in the Zambezi river perfect for bird watching , and wild photography where animals like African elephant ,lion ,buffallo and leapords are seen.The park was split into two sides , one is the riverine side and the other is the woodlands.The park was formed in 1979 with a total area of 560km sq.Wide range of animals , birds and fishes can be found in the wilder park and because its situated near the Victoria falls , its beauty is doubled.It can be accessed through the roads via Zambezi game drive and its a major tourist attraction.
